Opera‘s AI-powered web browser feature, Aria, can now summarize web pages with text on Android. The AI-powered web page summarization tool can quickly condense news articles, blog posts, or research papers into a brief summary. This new feature, announced on Monday, aims to help users quickly grasp a topic and highlight important details. To use it, simply visit a text-based web page, tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the Opera browser for Android, and select the «Summarize» option next to the Aria icon. A chat with Aria will then display the requested summary.
To access this feature, users need to update to the latest version of Opera for Android and log in to an Opera account or sign up for a new one.
Aria was launched last year and functions like any other AI-powered search assistant, with a chatbot-like interface that responds to queries as an alternative to conventional web searches.
Opera has been enhancing Aria‘s capabilities since its launch, expanding its functionality through the AI Features Update Program. This program allows users to gain early access to additional AI features. Lately, Opera updated Aria with the ability to generate images using Google’s Image2, and it can also read aloud text-based responses.
